THE ROLE

Invictus Academy is an independent public charter school located in El Cerrito and we are seeking a Technical Coordinator Lead/Operations Assistant to support the primary responsibilities of the Operations Team.

The quality of our school is defined by the quality of our team. In that spirit, we are seeking exceptional individuals to execute the following “essential job duties” and responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set-Up, Inventory, & Maintenance of Tech Resources

  • Set up and maintain all computer resources for students and staff. Resources include MacBooks, Google Chromebooks, LCD classroom projectors, document cameras, and other related technology used throughout the school
  • Set up all staff and student Google accounts, as well as all other tech platforms, such as IXL, Accelerated Reader, PowerSchool, DeansList, and NWEA MAP
  • Maintain an accurate record of assets and ensure that all technology equipment is properly checked out and in to staff and students
  • Support for ~30 classrooms or office spaces, ~450 students, and ~50 staff members using technology on a regular basis, 1:1 student/device environments
  • Manage the  infrastructure and network including physical connections, wireless access points, network switches, firewall, servers, and Google Apps for Education to support all staff and students
  • Order and repair equipment as needed
  • Oversee the student loaner chrome system and ensure all classrooms are equipped with the proper number of chromes at all time

Network Security & Safety

  • Oversee the all aspects of the use of technology on campus to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with the Dean's Office to address any breaches of the student tech use agreement
  • Support staff with using GoGuardian appropriately to monitor the learning environment
  • Maintain the firewall and ensure that best practices are implemented for data security

Troubleshooting & Technical Education

  • Cultivate and teach best practices regarding technology use for staff and students
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity
  • Provide technical support for various SIS and curricular platforms such as PowerSchool, DeansList, IXL, and NearPod
  • Plan and implement regular maintenance such as OS updates, security updates, active directory updates for current staff,  active directory account management, print server management, DHCP management
  • Work collaboratively with our back office support provider and Director of Operational Strategy and Sustainability
  • Coordinate with external vendors as needed for  telecommunications and internet support

Other Operations Support

  • Make copies and prepare printed materials submitted through our copy system
  • Assist with family communications in the main office
  • Support with accurate attendance entry
  • Support with student file management
  • Support logistics for schoolwide events and celebrations
  • Provide Spanish translation as needed
  • Ensure orderly, warm, professional front office culture
  • Support or assist with additional operations based tasks as assigned

Team Player

  • Attend staff trainings and meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of campus-wide technology, as well school operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is on-site. The employee must have sufficient mobility to report to campus, work in an office, and engage with students and families, with or without reasonable accommodations.
